The Anomaly
The Mystonak was not just a period of rebuilding, the anomaly was discovered and signs of a new [rogue] development began to surface in the QDT.
This development however, was simply a by-product of the SCO and assumed functionality following its association with its (at the time of inception) unaware host.
The anomaly is so labeled as no other instance of such a piece had yet occurred in the (short) existence of the Quasidimension. It was literally and figuratively out of place. The anomaly is metallic, composed (as later discovered) of a rare combination of iron, calcium, and cobalt, elements that are commonly known and available in the EDT. [Given this, the notion was recorded that perhaps the anomaly could have breached the QDT by some means of interdimensional EDT travel, but was later dismissed by (qualified) researchers here at JD Inc. (Department of Bio-Mechanical Engineering)].
Upon further investigation, the Anomaly revealed a series of plain, yet fiercely integrated components held together as would gears on an EDT timepiece. The components worked at hyperproductive speeds and as result, emitted a piercing frequency clocked at (approximately) 21.042 khz (EDT standardized frequency spectrum). This frequency, although undetected by the human ear, seemed to play an integral role in the stabilization of the Quasidimension.
